A group of 9 experienced Russian hikers from the Ural Polytechnical Institute, set off through the Ural mountains. After not arriving at their destination a search party was sent out for them. Once they finally found the 9 hikers no one could make sense of what happened. Six of the group members died of hypothermia and three of fatal injuries.
There were no indications of other people on the mountainside other than the travelers and There were also indications that their tent had been ripped open from within. One theory is that the group was a victim to a black budge Russian Military weapons experiment which might explain how the hikers met their horrid end.
